I have a brother Clyde Chapman who has resided in the Maungaturoto Rest Home for almost three years.
My family and I are impressed in the way the RN/Manager and her staff look after the residents.
They are caring, compassionate and sensitive to their needs. Families are kept informed of any medical problem that may arise, as well as any events that involve the residents.
I would not hesitate recommending this rest home to others if asked.

I would like to thank all the people of Maungaturoto who have helped and extended sympathy on the recent passing of John Tantrum JT, husband, father, grandfather. The lovely community has as usual been so supportive at this sad time. John was a fighter to the end. A special thank you to the Maungaturoto Rest Home staff, I could not have managed on my own.

When my father passed away I was so impressed with how Tracy had prepared my father. The staff were so kind to my mother. They also did a special time for my mum on her 90th birthday, the meal and birthday cake was wonderful. Many thanks to the staff and especially Tracy for the overall help and kindness to both my parents.

Our 96 year old mother has been in the care of the Rest Home for the past five years. During this time we have been so grateful to the wonderful staff and for the loving care she has received. Unlike larger rest homes she has been made to feel part of a family – not just a number. Knowing she is so well looked after is an enormous relief to us as one of the hardest things a family has to do is put a loved one into care.
